Here at Oh Sew Kat! designs, I’ve been sewing doll clothes since my teenage daughter was very small. We would try and save money by not buying the expensive doll outfits made by American Girl®, and rather try to recreate historical fashions in my daughter’s choice of fabrics. Here are a few dresses I stitched up over the years for Valentine’s Day. We love holiday outfits in our house!
By the way, these are not Oh Sew Kat! patterns. You can find the full catalog of PDF patterns for multiple size dolls HERE IN MY ETSY SHOP. Visit my HISTORICAL FASHIONS IDEA GALLERY to see historical doll clothes made with Oh Sew Kat! patterns. More are added often, so check back often and pin your favorites for later!
Here is an adorable 30s/ 40s Sweetheart Dress for Ruthie Smithens and Kit Kittridge, based on a 1940s design.
How about a cute, 50s Sock Hop Dress for Maryellen Larkin!? She’s ready to twirl the night away in her sundress dress and saddle shoes.
